PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange: how to upgrade to version 3.1

You can upgrade to PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, version 3.1, from PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange version 3.0.x

However, if you are running version PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange v. 2.6 or earlier, you cannot upgrade direct to version 3.1, instead you will have to upgrade to version 3.0.2 and then to version 3.1.

All existing customers of PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange are entitled to receive the new version of PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange, under the terms of their current license and at no additional cost.

Before you start the upgrade, be aware of the following:

• System requirements for PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange 3.1 
  Review the system requirements before upgrading.
• To upgrade from an earlier version of PureMessage for Windows/Exchange or from MailMonitor for Exchange,
  you must first uninstall your existing version, according to the instructions given below. Failure to uninstall correctly can prevent installation and produce errors. When you have uninstalled the existing version, follow the instructions for a new installation, as given in the PureMessage Startup guide.
• Installation on cluster servers,
  If you want to upgrade PureMessage on a cluster, refer to Appendix A of the PureMessage for Microsoft Exchange Startup Guide.
